KARUNA
KARUNA is a Sanskrit word used in Hinduism, Buddhism and Zen which may be translated to mean any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others or simply compassionate action.
The unbounded transformational healing power of the bodhittsatva Kuan Yin. Karuna Reiki® is a healing energy practice of merging with Kuan Yin in her Universal Compassion for the souls of the world.
Karuna may be used during Therapeutic Reiki treatments by any Karuna Reiki® Master, i.e., masters registered and certified through the International Center for Reiki Training.
When individuals experience enlightenment, they report that all beings are one. Therefore, all beings benefit when we practice the healing art of Karuna Reiki®.
It is also stated in the Buddhist literature that Karuna must be accompanied by parjna or wisdom (acknowledgment of Oneness) to be effective.Karuna is the essence of all enlightened beings who have diligently set themselves to the task of ending suffering. They continually send an unlimited amount of healing energy and guidance to all who are receptive to it.
